We have now begun the Screen Based Communication 2 unit. I have to say, I was glad to see the back of VCC2. I found the whole thing very stressful, so much so that I didn't really enjoy the unit at all, though with a bit less of the pressure I know I would have found the projects really enjoyable. I am not a good handler of stress you see. Stress or organization, which is why I intend to make a timetable of my week & decide what I should be doing & when, in advance.
So now I have a new brief to get my teeth into & I'm quite excited at the prospect. I've always liked the idea of designing websites, although I have no experience in it whatsoever. I am starting to think, after doing several Dreamweaver sessions & a fair bit of research into design websites, that I may find my niche through this project. At least I hope so. I haven't found it elsewhere (the last project pretty much destroyed any aspirations I previously had; "when your self doubt turns you inside out..." seemed a fitting lyric at the time. Hopefully my confidence will be regained through this unit).
Any ideas I had about easing myself in with a hefty bit of research into current sites & long deliberation over content went out the window with an email from Sally. I have to present my ideas this coming Thursday, including the navigation of my site & visual layout ideas. I suppose I should really crack on with that. No time like the present....
